Repel Fleas And Smells with Cedar-Filled Dog Beds

Posted on May 16, 2021

With so many types of soft, comfortable products out there for your dog to sleep on how do you know which is the best one for your special friend? Cedar-filled dog beds are just one option you have when choosing a good product.

This may not seem to some as a very important decision, but we all want our babies to be comfortable and well-cared for, right?

If you have had some problems with keeping fleas and ticks off of your dog cedar filled dog beds can help with this. Once the fleas and eggs are gone, go buy one that your dog will fit on and be the most comfortable.

The cedar inside will actually repel any fleas from living either in the bed or on your dog and it smells nice, too.

As a pet owner, you know that your house gets permeated with the smells of your pets, even if you bathe them on a regular basis. Oh my, the things that they can get into or even just between baths their natural odors can eventually make the house smell like a dog.

Getting a sleeping mat or big pillow filled with this sweet-smelling wood can go a long way to keeping your house smelling fresh and clean.

You have your choice of sizes and fillings, so make sure you do some homework before just going and getting any old thing.

There are at least three different types, or shapes, of this type of wood fill, and they are shavings, chips, and coils.

Sometimes the shavings and chips used for the fill can be bulky and not very comfortable to lay on so the manufacturers have added some chunks of foam rubber to them to make them more comfortable.

The coils act just like a mattress for humans and create a nice comfy spot for your best friend.

I already mentioned two different advantages to buying this type of dog bed and there is a third one that I would like to mention. Many of these types of resting places for your pooch should be able to be refilled.

Cedar can lose its scent over time and all you have to do is refill it to bring it back to its original sweet-smelling state.

Sometimes as they get older our pets can suffer from the same aches and pains that we do, like arthritis or just morning stiffness. We all sleep on a comfortable mattress, why shouldn’t we give them the same luxury? We should.

Even if you do not like the idea of this type of sleeping area for your dog, there are many more to choose from. Just make sure you take your pet’s size and weight into consideration, so they can be as comfortable as possible during the night or anytime they want to take a rest.

Cedar-filled dog beds are flea and tick repellent, smell nice, and are refillable. Go online to order one or take your pet to your local pet supply store to let him pick out his own.
